34 trekkers to participate in Expedition

Jammu, May 24: IVth batch of 34 trekkers including 18 female from different parts of country mostly hailing from Gujrat and Maharashtra participating in 7th National Heritage Trek Expedition being organized by Youth Hostels Association of India J&K State Branch in collaboration with Udhampur Administration. The batch included some of the most travelled and experienced trekkers of the country of varied age group from18 years to 60 years of age.The first batch have reached Patnitop today , IInd batch reached Sanasar and IIIrd batch reached Lander. Total 114number of trekkers so far have reached on trek of J&K state from all parts of India . The trek will cover the areas with Udhampur as the Base Camp, Karimchi temples of heritage importance. First night halt at Pancheri Forests with rich flora and fauna on way to 2nd night halt at Lander, 3rd night halt at Sanasar a beautiful meadow with a lake in the centre and perched with Fur forests on all sides is also a hub for Para-droppers.
