JKOA holds meeting, not to hold elections 5/24/2015 11:36:45 PM Jammu, May 24: Meeting of J&K Olympic Association was held on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Jammu Club at 05:00 PM as per Schedule. The last election meeting of the JKOA was held at the same venue on 18th March, 2011. It is heartening to note that all the members units affiliated to JKOA have resent and took part in the deliberation. Unfortunately, because of the court direction restraining JKOA from holding the elections without inviting the plaintiff Mr. S.H. Bali a non member for the last ten years in the Voter list Honouring the order of Hon'ble Court, the regular agenda of the meeting viz-a-viz passing of the minutes of the last meeting, passing of the audited accounts, adoption of the report of the General Secretary regarding activities during the period and holding of elections could not be taken up. The president thanked all the members including Sh. Suresh Sharma, Observer from Indian Olympic Association, General Secretary Kho Kho Association of India and Sh. Ranjit Kalra, Member Standing Committee, J&K State Sports Council and who was appointed as Observer. The member units were briefed in detail about the court direction and action to be taken for the vacation of the same. The different agenda other than the one notified regard award ceremony to the medal winners of the Kerala National Games was discussed and it was decided that the function should be arranged before the end of June 2015.
