Early Times Report

Srinagar, May 24 : The cabinet sub-committee (CSC) constituted by PDP-BJP government on new recruitment policy is meeting here to point out the queries raised by Governor N N Vohra.
"The CSC meeting will take place after three days to look into the queries raised by the governor over new recruitment policy.
The crucial meeting will look into the deficiencies in the policy and find out a solution," Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh told over phone.
He said as government has put all the details in the public domain, people should also give their suggestions on the recruitment policy.
Asked to comment on demand of opposition National Conference and Congress to rollback the policy, he said, "It was NC-Congress who put the state into the liabilities of hundreds of crores. Government is facing financial crises due to the wrong policies of the previous government.
Rather than making hue and cry over the issues they should come forward and point out what is wrong in this policy."
The deputy chief minister said that government's major concern is to block all the ways for the appointment of backdoor entries. "I can tell with authority that the PDP and BJP government believes in transparency," he said.
Asked whether the government will rollback the recruitment policy, he said: "The CSC was not constituted to rollback the policy but there were queries expressed by few sections of the society regarding the Government's new recruitment policy.
The sub-committee was constituted to look into any possible modifications," he said but was quick to add that government can modify the policy if the committee finds any deficiency in it.
It is pertinent to mention here that the state government had formed a Cabinet Sub-Committee (CSC) to look into the new recruitment policy and asked the committee to submit its recommendations before June 1 this year.
The Sub-Committee headed by Nirmal Singh includes Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu, Health Minister Lal Singh, PHE Minister Sukhnandan Kumar and Law Minister Basharat Bukhari.
The governor NN Vohra had returned the ordinance on new job policy amid certain queries on its clauses. The policy was also criticized by opposition National Conference and Congress.
