Govt committed to strengthen healthcare sector: Sunil Sharma

KISHTWAR, May 24: Government is committed to develop and strengthen healthcare delivery system in the state and all out efforts are being made to provide better health and Medicare services to the people living in any part of the state it was stated by the Minister of State for (PWD) R&B and Revenue Sunil Sharma today while inaugurated a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in District Hospital Kishtwar.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javaid Khan, SSP Kishtwar Yougal Manhas, Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar Dr. Parvaiz Hussain Wani besides Commandant CRPF Kishtwar, Doctors , Volunteers and Para-medical staff of the District Hospital was present on the occasion.
While inaugurating the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Minister said that the Government has taken various innovative and optimistic steps for the development health care delivery system in the state. He said comprehensive planning is underway which definitely help in strengthening the Medicare facility to the people.
Minister said that the Blood Donation Camp has been organized to motivate people of the District to donate blood voluntarily which will help in saving precious lives. He said Kishtwar being a far flung District of the State requires adequate stock of Blood so that in the hour of need or emergency the available stock of blood can be utilized. He also said that the Kishtwar being prone to road accidents and mishaps requires sufficient stock of Blood which will help in saving precious lives. He urged upon the people to donate blood voluntarily and help in saving the precious lives.
Sharma said that District Hospital Kishtwar being the life line of the whole region ranging from Gandoh to Padder, Dacchan, Marwah , Chatroo and Kellar of Himachal Pardesh has to deal with all sort of accidents, mishaps and medical emergencies. Minister said that to minimize the burden of patients in DH Kishtwar Government is planning to create/ upgrade Health Care Institutions in far flung areas to provide better and speedy health services to the people at their doorsteps and also revealed that a Small Hospital/ Trauma Centre is proposed to be constructed in the Mandal area of Kishtwar near Sarkoot which will be of about 50 bedded.
Sharma also said that Government is planning to cover District Hospital under the Government medical College Jammu under which the Junior Doctors will be deputed to DH Kishtwar for internship course which also help in supplementing the already available medical fraternity. Minister also expressed his gratitude towards District Police Kishtwar, CRPF and other Voluntary Blood Donors for participating in the Blood Donation Camp and said that Blood Donation is above to all the donations as it saves precious life.
