Early Times Report

Jammu, May 24: A meeting of the Working Committee of National Panthers Party was convened by the Chairman Harsh Dev Singh at the Party head quarters on Sunday to discuss the present political scenario of the State.
Speaking on the occasion Harsh Dev Singh categorically appealed to all the sects of the society including the businessmen, traders and shopkeepers, youth, intellectuals, various political and non-political organizations and the students to observe complete shut down on May 27, at all costs for the sake of Dogra's pride and honour. He also expressed his resentment over the plight and most shabby treatment doled out to the daily rated, casual, need based and contractual workers who were divested of their hard earned wages for the last several months. He reiterated his demand for the revocation of the draconian Govt. Order No 384 GAD of 2015 relating to the termination of such employees who have been rendering their services for the last 10-20 years and sought regularization of all those workers who had completed seven years service as per the tall proclamations made by the BJP before the Assembly elections.
Harsh Dev also revealed that Secretariat in Jammu during summers would hold 'Camp Office' as an established practice for timely redressal of public grievances besides keeping the people of Jammu away from facing the inconvenience of traveling to Srinagar for pursuing their official matters, now has been discontinued by the present dispensation thus adding to the woes of the people. He lambasted the servile stand and timid silence of the BJP over this issue and exhorted the government to resume the practice without any delay.
Launching a scathing attack on the Saffron Party Balwant Singh Mankotia wondered on the keen interest taken by the Dy. CM Nirmal Singh for underscoring the need for making a new Master Plan for Srinagar to convert it into a Smart City during a seminar organized by Srinagar Development Authority when his own Jammu city is burning with outrage with the infrastructural projects like fly overs amid the alarming traffic congestion, Restoration of Mubarak Mandi Complex, Mubarak Mandi-Bagh e Bahu Cable Car Project, etc are gathering dust and seen nowhere. Balwant Mankotia cautioned the BJP to rake up Jammu centric issues or else withdraw from the government as its timid surrender before the Kashmiri leaders has led to the public resentment which could burst anytime and blow the Saffron Party to smithereens.
