JDA allots works without tender since 2012 Repairing, replacing worn out lift parts 5/26/2015 12:20:40 AM Sumit Sharma Early Times Report Jammu, May 25 : Putting norms to winds, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has allotted works to the tune of Rs 3.9lakh without inviting tenders. Amazingly! The process of allotting works without inviting tender goes unchecked since 2012. The Secretary JDA admitted in writing in response to a RTI query filed by the advocate Kovid Khosla who sought details of the lifts working at present in different JDA buildings, offices, shopping complexes situated at Bahu Plaza Jammu and Panama Chowk with details of the yearly amount spent on repairs, services ,replacement of the worn out part of such lifts. The RTI applicant also sought details of the works of the lifts without tender since 2012. In replay the JDA said that fifteen works to the tune of Rs 3.9 lakh regarding repair and installation of the lifts have been allotted without inviting tenders on the plea that the works were of emergent nature and has been executed departmentally. The JDA resorted to the same practice since 2012. These works including repair of 15 KVA service stabilizers at Pragati Bhawan. Repair of 25 KVA servo stabilizer at South Block, shifitng of 6mm 3 core cable due to digging of sump tank at JDA Park and for the works JDA spent Rs 0.41 lakh. Replacement of damage change over 100 amp in the office of CEO Vikas Bhawan, amount spent 0.11 lakh.Replacement of cable of 185 mm and 95mm 3 ½ core damage due to accidental fire, amount spent Rs 1.04 lakh. Replacement of damaged, expiry battery 12 volts of 62.5KVA DG set Bahu Plaza,amount spent Rs 0.13 lakh. Replacement of damaged ornamental poles and luminaries in JDA park, amount spent Rs 0.40 lakh.Repairing of 5HP 3" dia damaged motor with stand by motor at Pragati Bhawan,amount spent Rs 0.091 lakh. Repair of 5 HP 3 phase motor and stand by motor with damaged starter at Vikas Bhawan,amount spent Rs 0.145 lakh. Replacement of damaged battery 12 v for inverter,replaces of CPL and other allied work, spent Rs0.23 lakh.Replacement of 1 No 800 amp 4 pole at South Block Bahu Plaza,amount spent Rs 0.35 lakh. Repacement f damaged 70 mm 3 ½ core aluminum armoured cable of D.G set at Vikas Bhawan,amount spent Rs 0.175 lakh.Repair of damaged 12 v battery and self starter of 25 KVA at Pragati Bhawan,amount spent Rs 0.076 lakh.Replacement of worn out damaged 12 v battery with news one for 63 KVA DG set at Vikas Bhawan,amount spent Rs 0.14 lakh.Repair of damaged 25 KVA set at Pragati Bhawan, amount spent Rs 0.037 lakh. Necessary report of VC's office, amount spent Rs 0.0857 lakh and Repair of 5HP 3 phase motor repair of 2 Nos couplers, butterfly valve 80 mm and repair of 80 mm NRV at pumping station Bahu Plaza and for the very purpose an amount to the tune of Rs 0.49 lakh was spent.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
