PHC in Health Minister's constituency sans basic facilities
Have patience, Lal Singh advises people

Basohli, May 24 : Many areas in the constituency of the Health Minister and senior BJP leader Chaudary Lal Singh are without basic amenities. Despite locals hitting the streets regularly Singh has not taken any step to mitigate their sufferings.
Members of a social organization, People united inner conscious, staged a massive protest here on Monday to highlight their problems and Health Minister's failure to even provide basic facilities to Primary Health centre Sanan Ghat which caters to 24000 souls.
Madan Lal Sarpanch Sanan Ghat accompanied by Sarpanch of other Panchayats jointly held protest and alleged that Minister had failed to provide appropriate facilities in the PHC.
He said people are suffering due to lack of medical staff including doctor, medicines, ambulance and other basic facilities.
Sansar Chand, member rural body, said people have been raising this issue for several years but their voices have always been suppressed.
Protesters sought appropriate medical facility, staff members especially ambulance to minimize the suffering of the villagers. They threatened to hold protest at large scale if government fails to act and provides facilities to PHC Sanan Ghat. SuraJ Kumar, Anchachal Singh, Mangat Ram, Dilawar Singh and many others addressed protesters on the occasion.
When contacted to JK Health Minister Ch Lal Singh who is also assembly member from Basohli, didn't take the matter seriously and said government would upgrade district and sub-district level hospitals soon. "PHCs are far away in long queue for development," he admitted.
Asked about demand of Ambulance, he said people must have patience. He said different agencies would soon select bulk of doctors that would minimize shortage of doctors in hospitals.
