Early times report
Jammu, May 26: In a scathing attack, Jammu people accused Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) of betraying their aspirations by compromising with its basic ideology of struggling for Jammu rights.
Taking dig at the Saffron party on the anniversary of Maharana Partap, people said that BJP was voted to power for representing their aspirations, besides to struggle for their rights.
On the occasion, Jammu press club-general secretary, Zorawar Singh and Jammu Bar Association President-Abhinav Sharma said that BJP leaders must take some inspiration from the ideals of Maharana Partap, how he worked for the upliftment of society.
"BJP was voted to power by Jammu people for representing their aspirations, but now after assuming power they are singing tunes of Kashmir centric leaders, forgetting about the people who had voted for an ideology," said Zorawar Singh.
He added that this was not the aim of bringing BJP to power, this Saffron party has betrayed people of Jammu.
Although the function was organized by a social organisation in which representatives of all social and religious organisations were present, it turned to be platform to give warning to BJP ministers to mend their ways otherwise people will not forgive them.
Sources said that speeches in today's function was discussed before beginning because the organisation, which had organised the event, wanted to give BJP leadership a lesson for not adopting aggressive postures.
Sangh Parivar was not fully convinced with the soft attitude being adopted by the BJP leadership especially party ministers so the Parivar wanted to give BJP leadership a lesson.
