Early Times Report Pulwama, May 26: Within two days of snatching of a rifle of security guard of local BJP leader Gulzar Ahmad Nengroo, at Prichoo in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district by his driver, who is still absconding, unknown persons snatched a riffle of another policeman, posted at the Pulwama district hospital here on Tuesday. As soon as the incident came into police notice, an investigation was ordered which is goin g on and further details are awaited. Earlier in March, a security guard of a state minister went missing along with two automatic rifles here and joined the militant ranks. It is pertinent to mention that in the first incident, the local BJP leader Gulzar Ahmad Nengroo had hired a Scorpio of a person namely Shabir Ahmad Sofi and Sofi himself used to drive the vehicle for Nengroo. However two days ago at around 8:30, Sofi snatched the rifle from BJP leader’s PSO and fled from the scene. The PSO of Nengroo has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad, who is a resident of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Police have registered FIR number 129/2015 under sections 379 RPC 7/25 30P Act, 3PU audience act and searches for the absconding driver has been launched. |
