Book Fair under RMSA organized at Reasi 5/27/2015 11:40:51 PM REASI, May27:A one day district level Book Fair under RMSA was organized by DIET Reasi today. The Fair was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Reasi-Sushma Chauhan. Speaking on the occasion, Chuahan said Books are an integral part of everybody's live, more so for students. At an early age if they get access to good books and inculcate reading habit it eventually broadens their outlook as well as knowledge. She said children's interest grows towards books with such fairs and they get a variety of books under one roof. Earlier Principal DIET Jatu Ram said the main objective of organizing this Book-Fair is to select quality text books especially for Class 9th, 10th and for Libraries of the schools. He said that for selecting good quality text books, an expert committee of lecturers for every subject has been framed. District Youth & Sports Officer- Dr S.S. Chib, ZEO Reasi- Bodh Raj, ZEPO Reasi- Ali Khan, Head Punjabi Section, J&K Academy Of Art Culture and Languages Popinder Singh and staff of DIET Reasi were also present on the occasion. The book stalls were installed by the book sellers and publishers from different districts of the state. The subject experts from different schools went through the displayed books and made a list of approved books. The books in the exhibition covered almost all the subjects taught from 9th to 12thstandard students. This fair was highly appreciated by the students. Event encouraged students and others to buy selected books of their interest. All the students visited the book fair and were overwhelmed to see the different variety of books displayed.
