Ghost of Masarat's release still haunting, Separatists launch Signature Campaign seeking release of Faktoo

Jammu, May 27: Days after sharp reaction from different circles across the country Forced authorities to re-arrest Masrat Alam, Separatists in Kashmir Launched yet another Signature Campaign to demand release of noted Separatist Leader, Dr Qasim Faktoo and others booked under different cases.
Separatist faction 'Muslim-Deeni-Mahaz' of Which Dr Qasim Faktoo is himself Chairman today launched its Signature campaign here from Srinagar demanding release of Faktoo who according to details is in Jail since 1993 after he was booked under Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (TADA) act.
On First day, separatists launched the campaign from Srinagar Wherein Separatist leaders, passerby and Students signed seeking his release. According to separatists, campaign will be launched in other Districts of the state as well.
According to details, though TADA Court Jammu acquitted Faktoo on July 14, 2001, but then government in place challenged the acquittal order of TADA Court Jammu in the Supreme Court which sentenced Qasim Faktoo to life imprisonment.
Separatist leaders said that around 26 separatist leaders like Qasim Faktoo were released by successive government since 1975, However only Dr Qasim Faktoo is in Jail till date, and interference of state Authorities can pave way for his release.
Pertinently Dr Qasim Faktoo is among the top brass leaders of Separatist Factions of Kashmir and is believed to Replace Hardliner separatist leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani as Chairman of Hurriyat 'G' after his demise as his Wife and Chairman of Dukhtaran-e-Milat, Asiya Indrabi is already encamped with Hurriyat 'G' of syed Ali Geelani.
Signature Campaign in favour of Qasim Faktoo was launched by separatists at a time when recently release of noted Separatist leader, Masrat Alam created tough times for PDP-BJP coalition government after lot of hue and cry was raised from many political circles across the country on his release.
Row on Alam's release forced the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and union Home Miniser, Rajnath Singh to answer queries of Opposition in Parliament and later state government as well to re-arrest Masrat Alam after reports of hoisting Pakistani Flags in a rally of Syed Ali Shah Geelani attended by Masrat Alam Surfaced.
