5/28/2015 12:16:22 AM

Jammu, May 27:The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has reportedly expressed his deep anguish over 'anti-BJP' slogans and sentiments being aired in Jammu, which has been party's bastion. The Home Minister had directed the state BJP to bring its house into order and be very cautious in making any policy statement, without consulting the central leadership. According to sources, the former national president of BJP, though well verse with Jammu, was not anticipating such a huge response to bandh call against BJP partnered government in Jammu. "He was briefed by the state unit that there was no need to postpone the event the Home minister was coming for stating that the response to bandh will be very limited as very few people would respond to it. But, the Home Minister was very disturbed that not only the bandh was complete, even slogans were raised outside the venue of the BJP's rally," said a senior BJP leader, wishing not to be named. The Home Minister in an interaction with the BJP leadership after the rally sought details from the state unit leadership about the steps being taken to rectify the situation. "The Home Minister was not happy with the response. He said while he will seek explanation from Jitendra Singh and ask the Dy CM to present the stand of the party over the issuewith facts in a manner that should sound logical and also convincing to the people," said the leader. According to the sources, the Deputy Chief Minister was also given a subtle but categorical message that party is keeping checks on all the developments including the work and manner of the ministers in the State and nothing should be assumed as permanent.
