JAMMU, May 27: Deputy Registrar (DR), Vivek Slathia and Dr Madhulika Bhagat made it double title win in badminton event in the ongoing teachers and officers sports meet of University of Jammu (JU), organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education on the campus, here today. Both these shuttlers won their singles and doubles finals played today at Gymnasium Hall of JU. In men's singles final, Vivek Slathia outplayed Vikas Karlopia 2-1 (21-19, 09-21, 22-20) while in doubles final, Vivek, pairing with Ameet Targotra beat the duo of Viklesh Sharma and Goutam Sharma 2-1 (22-20, 18-21, 21-15). Similarly, Dr Madhulika Bhagat trounced Dr Arti Bakshi 21-17, 21-15 to win women's singles title. Later, she along with Dr Arti Bakshi downed the pair of Dr Meghna Dhar and Dr Sarita Sood 2-10, 21-15. Dr Madhulika Bhagat also won the women's singles and mixed doubles table tennis titles to emerge as most successful participant of the meet.
