Now, Jugal says BJP hasn't changed stand on Article 370 | 'No harm in demanding separate AIIMS for Jammu' | | Saahil Suhail Early Times Report Anantnag, May 28: BJP's state unit president and Member of Parliament (MP) Jugal Kishore Sharma today claimed that the party hasn't changed its stand on Article 370. "We haven't changed our position on Article 370, but this government will work according to the common minimum program," he told media after addressing a party convention at Dak Bungalow here. Justifying the demand of Jammu people for an AIIMS, Sharma said, "There is no harm in demanding separate AIIMS." He said, "When central government sanctioned AIIMS for Kashmir we welcomed it. So if tomorrow separate AIIMS will be sanctioned for Jammu we will also welcome that." Responding to a question on killing of two civilians in Sopore in militant attacks, Sharma said that government and state police were ready to spoil the nefarious designs of militants. "This is not for the first time that such incidents have taken place. In past such incidents took place as well but our government and police is ready to face any challenge," he added. He rejected rumors about change of ministers in collation government, saying "There is no question of changing any of them, they are all doing well." Earlier, the BJP president addressed the party convention and stressed party workers and leaders to strength the party at gross root level. MoS Education Priya Sethi, MLC Sofi Yousf and others also addressed the convention. |
