Anantnag, May 28: A day after early Times disclosure about the reinstatement of fake appointees in DH Pora zone of Kulgam district, Minister of Education Priya Sethi on Thursday assured fresh probe.
"Yes I came to know today about the issue, we will constitute a committee which will probe it fairly," MoS Education, Priya Sethi told media on the sidelines of a function here at Dak Baglow.
Admitted department has become hub of corruption, Minister said that government is working hard to revolutionize the department and will make it corruption free. "Yes successive governments made education department hub of corruption so our priority is to make it corruption free," she added. Earlier Minister addressing a daylong party convention highlighted center government's achievements in one year.
Pertinently, Chief education Kulgam has reinstated three siblings, who had been illegally appointed. Trio- Khurshid Ahmad Mir, Reyaz Ahmad Mir and Fahmeeda Akther-wards of retired zonal education officer Abdul Hamid Mir were appointed in education department allegedly on fake documents.
Trio were suspended on 27th of July in 2014 vide order No./CEO/K/IMW/1985-88/14 and CEO/K/IMW/1989-93/14 and enquiry was ordered into the allegation of fake appointments. A three member probe panel asked trio to reproduce original documents of qualification but Khurshid Ahmad Mir one among the appointees failed to furnish his engagement order as migrant substitute teacher, according to official's documents laying with Early Times.
Advertisement notice, panel submitted by VEC, tentative shortlist and selection list in case of R-e-T Reyaz Ahmad Mir haven't been made available so far, reads an official document submitted by the investigating officer.
According to official documents trio approached High court and sought directions for releasing salary under Civil Services Rules (CSR). However, ironically on 23rd of February 2015, Chief Education Officer Kulgam reinstated the trio instead of contesting the case in High Court and filling the objections.
"In view of the recommendations of Deputy Chief Education Officer Kulgam, teachers namely Reyaz Ahmad Mir, Regularized ReT MS Bougam D H pora, Fahmeeda Akther teacher MS Souch, Khurshid Ahmad Mir teacher MS D H Pora who were placed under suspension are hereby reinstated with immediate effect, subject to the condition that they will withdraw the case from the Hon'ble court," reads the order.
