2 brothers killed, three injured in Rajouri road mishap | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 28: Two brothers including a CRPF constable were killed while three others got injured when a car they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. "Two members of family were killed while three including two minor girls and a woman received critical injuries when a car in which they were on way to their home at Kotdhara village in Rajouri tehsil skidded off the road and fell in 400 feet deep gorge, police sources said. Police have ascertained the identity of deceased as Maqbool Hussain s/o Mir Hussain of Panhad and his cousin Manzoor Hussain s/o Akal Din of Kotdhara died on the spot while the injured has been identified a Shagufta (16) d/o Barkat Hussain , Sadia (2) d/o Manzzor Hussain and Gulzar Begam w/o Manzoor received critical injuries." Police said that all the relatives were on their way to Kotdhara from Sorapani in Maruti car bearing registration No JK11B-1196 and as the car reached near village Tarala at about 11.30 am on Rajouri-Budhal road the driver of car lost the control and the vehicle rolled down into deep gorge. Police sources said, "On getting the information of accident police party and health department officials along with SHO, Yashpal Singh rushed to accident site and rescued the injured to the district hospital. "Owing to critical injuries the injured lady Gulazr Begam was immediately referred to Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu. Meanwhile after legal formalities and postmortem of the deceased, the police handed over the bodies to the family members for last rites. Police have registered a case and started investigations in this regard. |
