Shifting of AIIMS manifestation of step motherly treatment to Jammu: Cong | | | Early Times Report Bishnah, May 28: Lambasting the BJP-led Government at the Centre and its coalition dispensation in Jammu and Kashmir for totally disregarding the needs of the people of Jammu region, Senior Congress leader Mohinder Bhardwaj today said that a manifestation of this step-motherly treatment towards Jammu is the shifting of AIIMS to the Valley and stopping the Tawi lake project. Addressing a public meeting to kick start Congress membership drive here on Thursday, Bhardwaj, said that the BJP has a lot to explain to people of Jammu for not fulfilling even a single promise which the saffron party had during Lok Sabha and subsequently in Assembly election campaigns. "This has exposed the true face of the party and its leaders that they had contested election only for lust of power and public well-being was nowhere in their plans, he underlined. Congratulating people of Jammu for successful bandh to protest against the anti-Jammu polices of the Centre and the state governments, he warned that the situation could go out of hand if the aspirations of the people are not met. He also lambasted the state government and the local administration for totally neglecting Bishnah and adjoining areas in the matter of development. Addressing the meeting JKPCC General Secretary and former Minister Dr Manohar Lal said that the BJP with governments at the Centre and in unholy alliance with the PDP in the state has let down the people of Jammu. JKPCC General Secretary and Former Minister Yogesh Sawhney said that the BJP - PDP alliance has failed to address the problems of the farmers of Jammu region while JKPCC Organizing Secretary and prominent social worker of the area Ashok Dubey said that the BJP in particular had deceived the people of Jammu region. Ashwani Puri Organizing Secretary of JKPCC, Rajesh Sharma, Darshan Sharma, Ranjeet Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Sunita Kundal, Ajay Kumar, Anil Kumar, Master Prem Singh and Ghansham Sharma were also present on this public meeting. |
