HYDERABAD, May 29: The survival of the PDP-BJP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir is "very difficult" since it is not based on principles and there is no "meeting point", senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said here today.
"The survival of any coalition government which is not based on any principles is very difficult," the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha told reporters here.
The former J&K Chief Minister said, "If the foundation is not based on principles, how they will survive is very difficult. It's very difficult to justify that (coming together of PDP and BJP) and to run the government".
"One party is from the north, while another party is from the south. I don't know where is the meeting meeting point," Azad said. Commenting whether the PDP-BJP government is soft on pro- Pakistan elements, the former Union Minister said, "They are going two steps forward and two steps backward". He said that the entire political class is in favour of the return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
