But RSS ideology is ultra secular
Rahul attacks Modi-- I

Early Times Report
jammu, May 29: AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi is very aggressive these days. He is speaking inside and outside the parliament and touring different parts of the country to generate anti-Narendra Modi wave. He is using all available opportunities and forums and himself creating opportunities to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His objective is to tarnish the image of Modi and make the people believe that the Modi's government is the government of "suit and boot" and it is "pro-corporate/big business houses, anti-farmer, anti-fishermen, anti-poor, anti-middle class, anti-army, anti-youth and anti-women". Senior Congress leader and former minister Manish Tiwari and others in the Congress, which suffered a massive defeat in the last general election, are also supplementing the efforts of Rahul Gandhi. They are saying that the "Modi Government is not just a suit boot ki sarkar", but also terming his government as "jhoot mooth ki sarkar" and dubbing Modi as "jumla pradhan mantri". They are desperate to restore the political space the Congress lost to the BJP.
However, Rahul Gandhi is committing one serious mistake by accusing Modi of "advocating the RSS ideology and agenda". He levelled such a wild and baseless charge against Modi on Thursday while addressing a congregation of NSUI activists. He should have praised both the RSS and Modi for the reason that both are more secular than other secularist organizations, including the Congress, which is known for its appeasement policy towards the minority communities in general and Muslims in particular. After all, the RSS and the BJP have been implementing the Congress' ideology and agenda that has destroyed the Indian polity, divided Indian society and brought bad name to India. The RSS and its political wing, which work in perfect unison, are not the "rightwing" organizations as the "secular" outfits across the nation and the minority communities want the people to believe. There is nothing "right" in the RSS and the BJP. As a matter of fact, both the RSS and the BJP are implementing everything that the Congress and other secular parties and formations believe in and advocate.
Take, for instance, the stand of the BJP on Article 370, Ram temple, uniform civil code, beef eating, Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan, Kashmiri separatists, return of Kashmiri Pandits, Jammu issue, Ladakh issue and so on. People say that nothing moves in the Modi government without the consent of the RSS. It is a wrong premise. The RSS is an integral part of the Modi government, as all the general secretaries (organization) across the country are from the RSS and they are part of the decision-making and policy-making processes not only at the centre but also in the states under the BJP rule. The stand of the BJP on all the above-referred to issues is more radical and "secular" than that of those outfits who call themselves "secular" and the RSS and the BJP "communal". The RSS and the BJP are neither rightwing nor communal. They are also not ultra nationalist. They are ultra secular and fundamentally minority appeasers.
As for their Pakistan and Kashmir policy, the RSS and the BJP pursue the Vajpayee line - a line former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh pursued - a line that was based on "Kashmiriyat, Insaniyat and Jamhooriyat and that is endorsed by all the secular parties in India. Vajpayee, an RSS man, had said friends could be changed but not the borders. Didn't Manmohan Singh pursue this line? He did, and religiously. He would have, like Vajpayee, compromised Indian stand on Jammu & Kashmir and implemented the destroy-India Musharrf formula, had the circumstances in India and Pakistan permitted him. It appears that Rahul Gandhi and his party men and ideologues are not aware of what Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh and Sartaj Aziz, presently National Security and Foreign Affairs Advisor to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, did at Colombo during the Vajpayee regime as far as Jammu & Kashmir was concerned.
As for their stand on Article 370, both the RSS and the BJP have been stating and restating openly and publicly in so many words that they are not committed to abrogating it. It is different story that the Congress and other secular outfits do not pay any heed to the BJP's declarations for promoting their vote-bank politics.
Is it not a fact that BJP national spokesperson MJ Akbar declared at the party headquarters this week itself that Article 370 was a constitutional issue which could not be discussed even by the parliament? This precisely is the stand of Kashmiri separatists and secular outfits like the Congress, the PDP, the NC and the CPI-M. And, is it not a fact that BJP national president Amit Shah only on May 26 snubbed media persons on the issue and declared at the party headquarters in New Delhi that he needed 370 MPs for the abrogation of Article 370 - something that will never happen, as the BJP across the country has seemingly lost its face. Is it also not a fact that the BJP vision document (2014) didn't have any reference whatsoever to Article 370 and is it not a fact that today the face of the BJP in Jammu & Kashmir is the same Hina Bhat, who had threatened last year that she would become a militant in case any attempt was made to dilute Article 370? And, again, is it not a fact that it is Hina Bhat who represents the BJP on national news channels during discussions on Article 370, on Kashmir problem, on terrorists and militants, on Pakistan and on the PDP-BJP relations and the attitude of the PDP-BJP Government towards Pakistani agents?
The fact of the matter is that these secular outfits have not gone through the agenda of Alliance on the basis of which the PDP-BJP coalition government was formed. Had they gone through this agenda, which is contemptuously dismissed by the nationalist constituency in Jammu & Kashmir as "an agenda of betrayal", they would not have accused the BJP of implementing the RSS agenda or implementing the RSS ideology either in Jammu & Kashmir or in the rest of the country. It is pertinent to mention here that the nationalist constituency in the state has been consistently charging the RSS and the BJP of "murdering and lynching again and again founder president of Jan Sangh, Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, who for the national cause sacrificed his life in Kashmir in June 1953".
