Pak flag now surfaces in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, June 17: Unidentified miscreants today hoisted Pakistani flag amid high security presence during a Cricket match at Chowghan ground Kishtwar forcing the Kishtwar police to order closure of the tournament immediately, besides starting an investigation to identify the culprits involved in anti national act..
As per the details available with "Early Times" the miscreants used chalk and limestone water to prepare a Pakistani flag . The incident took place during a Semi Final match of a Cricket tournament organised by Hafiz Manzoor Ganie, Immam Bunastan Majid Kishtwar. After removing the Pakistani flag, police directed the organisers not to go ahead with final of the tournament scheduled for tomorrow.
Later three member organising committee of the tournament Hafiz Manzoor Ganie, Shabir Ahmed Lone and Akther Hussain Munshi called on senior police officers and demanded to revoke the order of suspension of the final of the tournament. They also condemned the act of hoisting of Pakistani flag during the Cricket match, adding that the aim was to derail the tournament which is about to conclude as only final of the tournament is pending. However police has yet to take the final call on allowing the organising committee to go ahead with the final of the tournament tomorrow.
Earlier like other parts of Kashmir valley, majority community of Kishtwar district of Jammu province observed complete shutdown on the call given by Huriyat Conference over the series of killings in Sopore Kashmir. The shops and business establishment including private institutes remained closed. Similar reports of peaceful shutdown was also received from various parts of Chenab Valley; however the day passed off peacefully in all parts and no report of any untoward incident was reported from any part of the three Districts of Chenab valley. Kishtwar police and administration had also made elaborated security arrangements to thwart any attempt of anti national elements to destabilize peace and tranquillity in the area.
