Jammu, June 29:A meeting of Federation of Industries Jammu was held today at AOI Bhawan, Gangyal under the Chairmanship of Rajesh Jain in which the members registered strong resentment towards the working of Commercial Tax (CT) Department, Lakhanpur. He said that the officials posted at the CT Lakhanpur are harassing the industrial units unnecessarily by detaining trucks loaded with Industrial Goods without any valid reasons.
The Members present in the meeting brought into the notice of Chairman in respect of detaining of Industrial Goods at Lakhanpur during last week & the arrogant behavior of the ETO's which creates an uncertainty & fear in the mind of the Industrial Fraternity of the State who have invested crores of rupees & providing employment to Lacs of people of our State.
Federation of Industries, Jammu conveyed their thanks to the Industries Minister, Chander Parkash for taking up matter with the Finance Minister, Haseeb Darbu for their intervention into the matter for the timely release of the goods with a strong message to the Commercial Tax Department that such type of action cannot be tolerated in future.
The meeting was attended by Co-chairman FOI, Lalit Mahajan, Vijay Aggarwal, Romesh Badyal, Jatinder Aul, S. B. Abrol, Convener, Varun Singla & Viraaj Malhotra along with the other office bearers of the all Industrial Associations. |
