Early Times Report Jammu, June 29: Keeping with his agenda of development MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta kick started the process of the up gradation of historic Gumat Stairs with new kind of tiles. The total estimated cost of the development project is Rs 5.5 lakhs. Accompanied with JMC commissioner Sojanya Sharma, XEN Parmjeet and Arvind, AEE Zuber, Health Officer JMC Dr Zafar iqbal, Gumat Association president Ashok Gupta, Chairman Pinka and Vice president Rattan Singh, the MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta started the said project. He also gave on the spot instructions to the officials of the JMC present on the occasion to complete the beautification of ancient gateway to the city within next month. MLA Gupta also assured the shopkeepers of Gumat that in the days to come all the shops of the Gumat would be renovated and even the request for making the shops double storied would be considered. The members of the Gumat Stairs were high praise for the developmental agenda of Rajesh Gupta and promised him full cooperation in all the programmes of BJP. While addressing the people of the area Rajesh Gupta also laid stress on the various developmental schemes launched by the BJP government. Rajesh Gupta appealed to the people to take advantage of the schemes like the Jan Dhan Yojna, Atal Bima Yojna,Pension Yojna and Swachta Abhiyan launched by the government for the poor people.
