Casual on punctuality, teachers discourage students 6/29/2015 11:48:32 PM Arun Trisal Early Times Report Kathua, June 29: The casual approach of the teachers towards their duty has discouraged the students. They walk 25 km everyday to reach in the premises of school. Educationists and HRD pat their backs to bring revolution in the field of Education to bring the education at door step to provide quality education but fortune of hundreds of students studying in Girls Middle School Machhedi, Bani still seek a light from abode to make their life smooth. Millions of rupees have been spent to aware people about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream Beti Padao- Beti Bachao Abhiyan that got faded up in district Kathua. Several schemes have been introduced for the development of Girls Child but who will implement such schemes when builders of the nation, Teachers themselves discourage the girls' students and encouraged them to cleanliness their class rooms, fetch drinking water from several miles, collect wood from mid day meals, and serve their teachers whole the day at Girls School Machhedi. Teachers and school management openly use them as laborers. It is not unknown to ZEO, CEO Kathua or any other prominent of the town but they act like spectators and make several excuses regarding physical development of the students but they must accept the reality and try to mitigate the sufferings of the students whose futures are deliberately pushed by some lazy teachers. Anju Devi, an 8th class student desired to compete with students of Urban areas but said unfortunately despite having sports equipments, computers, electric generator for computers but nobody here to teach them computer education. Madhu, a 4th class student said their classes affected everyday due unavailability of teaching staff. When contacted to Chief Education Officer Kathua Balbir Singh, he made several excuses and said he has passed instructions to ZEOs to pay surprise visits in schools and take action against absentees.
