Rain damages records, eatables of Anganwari Centre In Krishna Nagar

Jammu, June 29: Alleging that Jammu Municipal Corporation failed to de-silt the nullahs of the locality which overflowed during the rains and damage their properties, the residents of W-12 of Krishna Nagar today assembled in Krishna Nagar Park today and also said that the rains have even damaged records, eatables of Angadwari Centre In Krishna Nagar. Residents led by Sat Pal said that the rain water today resulted overflowing of sewage water into their houses and water logged the lanes causing huge loss to them. "Besides this the water completely damaged the records and eatables (meant for tiny children) of an Anganwari Centre being managed by one Smt Jyoti Devi, the Anganwari worker of the Social Welfare Department.The residents have appealed the Government to compensate them and direct the JMC authorities to pay attention towards streamlining the flow of sewage water in nullah passing through the area.
