TNWS meets CE R&B, loges protest against unauthorized digging | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 1: A deputation of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) led by Er. Vikram Gour along with Er. Askok Arora called called on Chief Engineer, R&B Er Alok Mengi to apprise him of the horrible condition of main roads, side roads, lanes and by-lanes of Trikuta Nagar which were damaged due to heavy rains more than two months back and are being presently destroyed by Reliance for laying of cables for 4-G network. As per press release, they alleged that the Reliance people digging out the roads in front of the main gates of the houses during night hours and surprise the residents who find that they cannot move out of their houses in the morning. This is not acceptable and R&B should not permit the company to harass people like this. The members demanded that since the R&B has duly been paid by Reliance people a huge sum of money for repair of the damaged roads the R&B should carry out the work before rainy season sets in. R&B, Chief Engineer gave a patient hearing and assured the TNWS members that repair work will be taken up on priority as soon as the weather permits. The Reliance people will be asked to immediately carry our temporary repair work after laying the cable. |
