JAMMU, July 02: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) today consolidated their position in group after they defeated Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) by six wickets in the league tie of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup Tournament at KC Public School ground, here. Batting first, after winning the toss, MGCA set a target of 131 runs with Salit Mahotra (33) and Tushar Gupta (28) being highest run getters. From Rainwari, Sourav and Ashok shared two wickets each. In reply, Rainawari chased the target of 133 runs in just 13 overs losing four wickets. Satish Kohli played brilliant innings of 51 runs and Ishan Gupta contributed 38. Sahil and Akash took one wicket each from MGCA. Satish Kohli was declared man of the match for his half century. Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rajinder and Honey Chib were umpires in this match. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, KCC trounced DSCC by 98 runs. Earlier, KCC batting first, after winning the toss, set a challenging total of 172 runs. Sahil Luthra and Vinash made brilliant half centuries scoring 70 and 51 runs in their respective accounts. Satwant Singh and Ashok took two wickets each. In reply, DSCC could make 74 runs when whole side bowled out for 74 runs. Aman (21) and Satwant (11) could only touch the double figure mark. Sahil Luthra was adjudged man of the match. Rajinder Singh, Bunty Kumar and Honey Chib officiated this match. |
