Jammu, July 3: To apprise farmers about the latest farming techniques and mechanization to be adopted for increasing yield of the crops, a daylong Farmers Awareness-cum-Training Camp under centrally sponsored scheme Krishi Jagriti campaign (KJC) was organized today by department of Agriculture at village Bhour camp falling in Block Satwari. On the occasion, emphasis was laid to achieve maximum production from minimum area by introducing new techniques, besides farmers were advised to coordinate with agriculture department to take benefits from the schemes launched. A large number of farmers of Bhour camp and adjacent villages of Dharp Zone participated in the camp and interacted with experts of agriculture department on various issues related to paddy cultivation and control of paddy blast disease. The experts of Agriculture Department educated farmers through PowerPoint presentation about the measures to be adopted for better crop yield.
