Students caught with snatched examination material

Rajouri, July 3:The Budhal police, under the supervision of Tajinder Singh, additional SP, Rajouri, have apprehended four accused allegedly involved in snatching of examination material from the staff of 12th class private examination at government higher secondary school, Khawas in Budhal, on June 14 last.
The accused along with the examination material had fled the spot and on the complaint lodged by the examination superintendent, a case under sections 382/120-B of RPC was registered at Budhal police station against them.
Following the incident, police launched a manhunt and raided several places to apprehend the accused. Today, on specific inputs, a police team lead by SHO Kuldeep Raj raided several houses at different places and arrested the accused and recovered the examination material from their possession.
The accused were identified as Ajay Singh, son of Angraiz Singh of Badhal, Narinder Singh, son of Dalip Singh of Gadyog, Rahul Sharma, son of Madan Lal of Mathaini, and Deep Singh, son of Suraj Ram of Chek Meaian .
Police have also recovered stolen examination material from their possession which included 22 question papers of Mathematics, 23 sheets of graph , 25 memos for examination and two ball pens. The raids were conducted by Mohammad Akhter, in-charge of Khawas police post.
These students of 12th class who had to take paper in the private examination at government higher secondary school at Khawas, led by Ajay Singh had entered the examination hall at about 11 am when the examination was in progress and claimed that they had to appear in the examination but have not received their roll numbers issued by the BOSE.
They requested Zameel Ahmed Malik, examination superintendent, to let them appear in the examination but were refused by him without proper permission.
The superintendent directed them to contact the Board of School Education (BOSE) officials for the permission but students continued to pressurise him to allow them to appear in the examination.
The exchange of arguments had led to a minor scuffle following which they had snatched the examination material and fled.
