JAMMU, July 4:The MCC Magnum beat Young Blood Cricket Club by nine runs to reach the third round of the Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Twenty20 Cricket Tournament underway at Government Higher Secondary School, Satwari Cantonment, here today. Batting first, MCC Magnum made 120 runs for nine wickets. Yasir and Bunty were main scorers, who contributed 35 and 25 runs respectively. From Young Blood Club, Gagan, Anmol and Kalu took two wickets each. In reply, Young Blood Club could make 111 runs thereby lost the game by a margin of nine runs. Gagan (23) and Kewal (18) were highest run getters. From MCC Magnum, Sohail bowled well taking away three wickets. Kunal, Bunty and Pardeep took two each. Bunty was later declared man of the match. Today's second round match was officiated by Manu and Surpreet Singh as umpires while Aman Cheema was scorer. |
