JAMMU, July 4:Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Radio Kashmir, Jammu jointly felicitated a renowned Dogri Folk singer in an impressive function in the Foyer of Abhinav Theatre, Jammu under its regular series of interaction and felicitation programme entitled 'JHAROKHA'. Prof. Lalit Mangotra, Convener Dogri Board of Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi presided whereas Mohan Singh, renowned Dogri writer was Chief Guest , Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAACL and V.K Sambyal, Director, Radio Kashmir, Jammu were also present in the presidium. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Lalit Mangotra , appreciated the efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Radio Kashmir, Jammu who have decided to felicitate the senior and veteran personalities in the field of Art, Cultural and Languages on 4th of every month . He said that these sincere efforts of the Academy and Radio not only play a mark of respect to the felicitator but it also provide an opportunity to younger generation to have an interaction with one and another. Mohan Singh, President, Duggar Manch and prominent Dogri writer, while delivering his address congratulated Prakash Sharma for being felicitated for his life time contribution in the field of Dogri folk music. He also complimented Radio Kashmir Jammu and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for starting this series of Jharokha programme which succeeded in bridging between the prominent artists, writers and the young generation. |
