| Dulat exposes Abdullahs' white lie | | |

Jammu, July 4: The lie of the Omar Abdullah that his resignation after 2002 Gujarat riot has been exposed by none other than Dulat, former RAW chief, and close friend of Abdullahs' who was reportedly been propped by the former ruling family of the State to write a book on Kashmir which has some critical notes on the Mufti Sayeed.
Dulat has in interviews and also written in the book that the reason Dr Farooq Abdullah , when he was the chief minister, decided against moving out of the NDA even after Gujarat riots as he was expecting to become vice-president, though the plan didn't materialize and Dr Farooq Abdullah was furious with the BJP.
It's for this reason, Omar Abdullah was asked to stay in the cabinet of the Vajpayee government, and he readily agreed to it also, as it gave him the perks and privelges at a much younger age.
Omar had lately said that he wanted to resign but the Vajpayee didn't accept it and wanted him to stay.
"The book exposed the greatest lie of the Abdullahs' especially of the Omar Abdullah, who had pretended to be the sole guardian and savior of the Kashmiris. It proved that the sole interests the Abdullahs' have is to have power and act like a rulers with scant regard for the probity and morality in public life," said a senior official, who was privy to the development.
The fact is that Omar Abdullah tried to get close to the BJP especially PM Modi after the elections. Omar was the first person to meet Modi and had greeted him and had even praised his leadership qualities.
However, now when he has lost the elections and was at the verge of losing even as a MLA, and after losing all the chances to form the government, Omar Abdullah is playing his favorite card of the savior of the Kashmiris. He has trained his guns at the BJP again and is accusing the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed of allowing RSS to get space in the Valley.
"BJP was not threat to the Kashmir when Omar and Farooq were enjoying perks and power at the expense of the ex-chequer money now suddenly the BJP has become threat. This exposes the duplicity of the Abdullahs," said the official. |
