| Woman, youth consume poison, police shift them to GMCH | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 5: A woman ,who allegedly eloped with a youth of Poonch on Saturday, consumed some poisonous substance.
Police sources said that the woman identified as Pooja wife of Vijay Kumar of Phallian Mandaal had allegedly eloped with one Rahil Ahmed of Poonch and it was after the complaint of one Vijay Kumar police had registered a case and started investigation in this regard.
Police sources further said that on specific information the woman was in Poonch along with the youth, a police team led by SI Balram Sharma, in-charge police post Phallian Mandaal reached the house where the duo was staying.
"As the duo came to know that police reached to arrest them they consumed some poisonous stuff", said a police source adding that the duo was immediately shifted to Poonch hospital and after preliminary treatment they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for treatment. |
