RAMBAN, July 6: As a part of Digital India Week celebration, a debate cum lecture event was held celebrated at Higher Secondary School Batote and Sangaldan under the guidance of the District Development Commissioner Ramban, Farooq Ahmed Shah Burhari. During the programme, the students and other participants were given awareness about the mega project, Digital India launched by the Prime Minister of India on 1st July 2015. Faculty members and students showed their keen interest in the programme at HSS Sangaldan. Network Engineer Shubam Gupta gave detailed presentation regarding the project Digital India and services and existing services on offer for citizens. At HSS Batote, resource person Ajit Singh presented the presentation to highlight and aware the participants about the programme. Students of both school had deliberate discussion on the dream of the future Digital India. Later, resource person gave detailed presentation on the dream of Digital India and services like Digital Locker, Jeevan Praman, e-Hospital and e-scholarship portals. Also other e-services provided by various departments and organizations like Election, Income Tax, Tourism, Urban Dev Development, Education institutions etc were also focused and demonstrated. |
