Jammu, July 6 : All round performance from Karan Bhat today guided KC Sports Club (KCSC) to a big 67 runs win against Karliana Cricket Club (KCC) in a group B league tie of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup at KC Public School ground, here. Karan batted beautifully to complete his half century and later he took two wickets to help the side restrict opponent to a modest total thereby emerged triumph. Karan was later declared man of the match. Earlier, batting first, KCSC set a target of 190 runs, which, in reply, KCC could not chase and bowled out for 132 runs. Besides Karan's half century, Ateev Saini also played fine innings of 42 runs. From KCC, Jagdeep took two wickets. Later, chasing the target of over nine runs per over, KCC could make 189 runs and in the process lost all their wickets. Yogesh remained highest run getter with 37 runs while Kuljeet contributed 29. Pranav took three wickets while Karan Bhat bagged two from KCSC. Abhijot Singh Bedi, Rajinder Singh and Sadiq Hussain Malik officiated this match. |
