| JAMMU, July 27 : Simula XI today sailed into the semifinals of the ongoing Chevrolet Cup Twenty20 Tournament, organised by KC Sports Club at KC Public School ground, here. In the quarterfinals, Simula outplayed Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) by a big margin of 45 runs. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Simula set a target of 186 runs. Atul Sharma and Puneet played fine innings of 77 and 24 runs respectively. From MGCA, Shubam took three wickets and Sampark bagged two. In reply, MGCA fell short of the target with could make 140 runs for seven wickets. Shubam remained top scorer with 64 runs while Sunya contributed 32. Vikram clinched three wickets and Dhrub bagged one from Simula. For his all round performance, Shubam of MGCA was declared man of the match. Sadiq Hussain Malik and Honey Chib and Rajinder Singh officiated today's quarterfinal match. |
