Educational Institutions remember former President APJ Abdul Kalam

Jammu, July 28: Various educational institutions across the state today paid rich tribute to former President APJ Abdul Kalam who passed away on July 27 due to cardiac arrest in Meghalaya.
The students of Lawrence Public School along with the Youth Wing of Gandhi Global Family paid rich tributes to the 11th President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The students lit up candles as a mark of respect in front of the portrait and observed 2 minutes silence.
Dewan Devi Playway/ Hr Sec School Rajpura , paid homage to DR. APJ Abdul Kalam peoples' president, in the school premises. Management, staff and students of the school prayed for the departed soul by lighting candles.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University fraternity expressed grief over the sad and sudden demise of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Bharat Ratna, the 'missile man of India' and a fine intellectual. In a condolence held in the University campus, Vice Chancellor, Prof. SudhirK. Jain, Registrar, Deans, Directors, faculty members and staff members prayed for peace to the departed soul of Dr. Kalam. The first lecture to the very first batch of MBA& Engineering students in SMVDU was delivered by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on 19th August,2004 . Expressing grief over a great loss to the nation and student community in particular, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the contributions of Dr. Kalam in nation building and said that as an intellectual Dr. Kalamwas an inspiration to an entire generation of people in the country.
A condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Vikas Sharma, President SKUAST-TAJ to condole the untimely demise of Dr. Abdul Kalam, Bharat Ratna and Former President. Scientists of SKUAST-J paid their rich tributes to the departed soul who was a world renowned scientist and torch bearer for the scientific fraternity of the nation. In his address, Dr. Vikas Sharma threw light on the life and vision of the legendary scientist and his special attraction towards the agricultural development of nation. He described Dr. Kalam as an inspirational figure for the nation and said that contribution of Dr. Kalam to the defense system of country especially in the missile technology gave India a sense of security and confidence. Dr Sharma stressed upon the scientists to follow the enlightened path shown by the missile man of the nation.
GS Accounts Institute held condolences on the sudden demise of A.P.J Abdul Kalam. Girish Sharma Director of the Institute said "Today we have lost the nation's Missile Man, the source of nation's youths' energy, the nation's simple-heart with beautiful mind and soul, who was an inspiration to nation's youth," "We express deepest condolences on behalf of the GS Accounts Intitute on demise of APJ Abdul Kalam. We salute his spirit," he added.
A special assembly was held in JK Public School, Kunjwani to pay homage to former president of India. The Principal, SK Singh highlighted the achievements of Dr. Kalam also known as the missile man of India and his contribution in the field of science and technology. He also encouraged the students to follow his foot prints and dream big to achieve big. A two minutes silence was observed by the teaching fraternity as well as the students to pray for peace to the departed soul.
Central University of Kashmir (CUK) today condoled the demise of former President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. In a condolence meeting held at Sonwar Transit Campus of the University here with officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj udDin in chair, the participants comprising faculty, administrative staff and students, described the deceased as a great visionary and scientist who played a pivotal role in Indian missile defence system. The life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam should be an inspiration for the younger generation, the officiating Vice-Chancellor said.
The President and Founder of Nat manch Actor/Director Tarun Sharma condoled the passing way of the former President. He said that the death of Dr. Kalam is an irreparable loss to this nation. He has left a big void which is hard to fill. Dr. Kalam was a man of impeccable character, indomitable spirit, profound knowledge and firm conviction.Deeply saddened at the sudden demise of the former president of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. He was an inspiration to an entire generation.
A condolence meeting was held in Government Degree College Budhal to condole the sad demise of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The meeting was chaired by Principal of the college Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina and attended by staff and students of the college. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina while speaking at the occasion has said, India has lost a big research mind Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who has very brightly lit up the scientific world of India with his uncommon talent/hard work and immensely contributed as 11th President of India and Scientist.
A condolence meeting was held today in Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Kathua. To condole the death of 11th President of the country Jb.A.P.J Abdul Kalam . Pankaj Dogra, Dr.G.P.Sachdev Principal, Staff members and students of the college paid floral tributes to the memory of late president. They highlighted the services of late president as a scientist, technocrat, head of missile team and above all as a People's President.
Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu organized special Assembly to pay tributes to great Scientist & Wonderful - Ex President of India. The Students & Staff joined the nation at 10 am on today to condole the passing away of former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Dr. Kalam enjoyed being with students. His work will always inspire the youth to dream big to become achievers in life.
Principal of Pineland Public High School along with the Teachers today condoled the sad demise of Ex-president and International Scientist APJ Abdul Kalam at School Premises. Principal of the School, Usha Jasrotia called upon all the teachers in the School after declaring the holiday for the children. The teachers observed a two minutes silence and paid tribute to the Great Scientist.
