Early Times Report JAMMU, July 29: The KCC today entered the semifinals stages beating Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor by one wicket in the Chevrolet Cricket Cup 2015 underway at KC Public School ground, here. Batting first, after wining the toss, SCC made 167 runs. Jadvinder and Binny remained top scorers with 60 and 25 runs in their respective accounts. Sahil emerged as most successful bowler from KCC with three wickets, followed by Somaya, who took two. In reply, KCC found it hard to attain the goal of 198 runs in view of tight spells from Rajinder and Sunny. However, they managed to achieve the target on the second last delivery of the innings that too on the last wicket. Vimaush Kaw played fine innings of 58 runs and Jatin contributed 27. Rajinder and Sunny shared two wickets each from SCC. For his superb half century, Vimash was declared man of the match and awarded with Rs 500 Westside coupon by the organisers. This quarterfinal match was officiated by the technical penal comprising Sadiq Hussain Malik, Honey Chib Singh and Rajinder Singh. |
