Udhampur, July 29:To promote healthy lifestyle in remote villages the Rashtriya Rifles battalion at Bagga under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Uniform Force Headquarters based at Reasi constructed toilets for students of Government Schools at Gulabgarh and Tungidhar.
The construction of the toilets as part of Swachh Bharat campaign and operation Sadbhavna will benefit more than 200 students including 78 girls. A lecture by an Army medical officer on the importance of hygiene and sanitation was delivered on the occasion which was attended by officials from the Army, civil administration, teachers, students and parents.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Ali Mohd Sheikh, Headmaster of Government Middle School, Gulabgarh thanked the Army for its efforts towards sustained development through better sanitary habits. |
