Two bovine smugglers held, 10 bovine rescued 7/30/2015 12:16:03 AM Early Times Report jammu, July 29: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of two smugglers and rescuing 10 bovine animals during a naka checking in Miran Sahib. "The bovine smugglers have been identified as Surjeet Kumar of Tanda RS Pura and Pritam Singh of Chak Mohd Yaar RS Pura," police said. "On specific information a police party led Hilal Azhar, SHO Miran Sahib under the supervision of SP Head Quarters Randheer Singh under the close supervision of officiating SSP Jammu Rajive Pandey raised a naka at Khour Miran Sahib and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-7209." "The occupants of the vehicle failed to produce the due permission or the documents required for transporting animals," police said and added that police team rescued 10 bovine animals being transported illegally."
