Over 300 JKNPP activists court arrested during party's 'Jail Bharo Andolan'

jAMMU/Samba, July 30:Amid JKNPP's "Fight for Jammu" Mission gaining momentum for establishing AIIMS in Jammu, Panthers Party took out an impressive 'Jail Bharo Andolan' rally spearheaded by the Chairman JKNPP Harsh Dev Singh and Yashpal Kundal State President Young Panthers and other senior leaders along with the battalion of activists in District Samba here today and over 300 activists alongwith leaders were detained by police.
Party spokesperson said, "The rally started from the Panthers Party headquarters at Samba and after passing through various lanes and markets, it was stopped by the police at the Main Chowk.
Raising slogans against BJP alleging it playing the politics of deceit, duplicity and betrayal like "BJP MLA s …Resign Karo, Resign Karo", "Dokha-Dhadi Ki Rajneeti…Nahin Chalegi,Nahin Chalegi" "Jammu ka AIIMS… Jammu ko Do", the protestors resisted the police interception and then police arrested over 300 Panthers activists including Harsh Dev Singh and Yashpal Kundal and detained them in the District Police Lines, Samba who were released later.
Harsh Dev Singh while courting arrest said that the BJP is playing the politics bluff and subterfuge with the people of Jammu region to create ephemeral illusions on AIIMS to sabotage and scuttle the uprising mass agitation for the restoration of premier health edifice in the region. He maintained that the recent statements by the Jammu based BJP leaders who have flown to New Delhi to announce the establishment of AIIMS is nothing but another deceitful and wicked tactics to take the wind out of the sails of the resistance movement launched by the people of Jammu region. Harsh dubbed the BJP as clan of untrustworthy, perfidious and opportunist power hungry leaders who could go to any extent to occupy their ministerial berths in an unholy alliance for the crumbs of power.
Harsh said that an impuissant BJP has been exposed for its political incompetence and fragility and exhorted the people not to get trapped in the woven web of spurious and fake promises doled out to the people by the Saffron party and urged the people to carry forward the agitation to its logical conclusion for the Dogra pride and honour. He said that Panthers Party shall raise the voice of the people of Jammu in right letter and spirits and tighten the noose around the BJP for its bluff and blusters.
Yashpal Kundal in his address asserted that the BJP's credibility has immensely dissipated with the Saffron party losing ground in its constituency for backstabbing the people of Jammu Pradesh. He also urged the people to support and strengthen the Panthers Party's "Fight for Jammu" mission.
Meanwhile exuding faith in women power, JKNPP women wing held its meeting at JKNPP headquarters appealed to women from all sections of the society to join the movement for the establishment of AIIMS in Jammu with the strength and might that Durga demonstrated against the Demons in the Hindu epics. Speakers said, "they shall not let anybody betray the cause as it has been repeatedly done in the past by certain political vested interests and appealed Nari-Shakti to join the bandh call in respective their status, political affiliation or profession. Prominent present in this meeting included Anita Thakur chairperson of women power, Tasleem Kousar and Kesar Parveen adv Secretaries Women power and executive members of women wing JKNPP.
National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) also held a press conference in which they it appealed the students of all colleges, schools and universities to pro-actively support the movement launched by the civil society for restoration of AIIMS.
Addressing the media persons Thakur Virender Singh said that student community expresses its full solidarity with the AIIMS movement and shall actively participate in the observance of bandh from 31st July to 2nd August.
