Srinagar, July 30: The Department of Management Studies (DMS), Central University of Kashmir (CUK) made an impressive start of its Campus Placements for the academic session 2015-16. During the session's first placement drive, around 15 MBA 4th semester students were hired by reputed national and international companies. Earth Infrastructures Ltd., PNB MetLife, KashmirBox.com and INDI Design, have issued job offers to almost 15 students of DMS. Of the 15 jobs, eight came from Earth Infrastructures Ltd, five from PNB MetLife, one from INDI Design, while KashmirBox.com offered two jobs. The average package offered by the hiring companies' range from Rs 3 lakh to 5 lakh per annum. The companies selected the students on basis of an interaction followed by group discussion and a rigorous interview round. The first phase of current year's campus placement program was attended by 30 students. "I am humbled by the trust that the top companies have reposed on us by choosing our students to augment their HR pool", said Prof. Mehraj-ud-Din, officiating Vice-Chancellor, who personally interacted with the students and company representatives. "Our graduates are well equipped with diverse skills, and their two year meaningful stay at CUK has helped them to boost their capabilities and eye on the cherished career paths", he added. |
