Kishtwar, July 30: Chinar Power Projects Workers Union has stressed upon the Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed to appoint two board of directors of J&K State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) in Cheneb Valley Power Projects Limited (a joint Venture Company) in order to expedite the work of Pakal Dul hydroelectric project. Joginder Bhandari while speaking at a well organised meeting at Kishtwar said that the work upon the Pakal Dul HE project could not be started unless and until two directors of JKSPDC were appointed in CVPPL as the NHPC is not in a position to take any decision in respect of starting of the work of the said project in absence of board of directors of the state government. In this connection Bhandari has stressed upon the Chief Minister to immediately appoint two directors from state government so that the work of the project could be started at an earliest for the larger interest of the youths of the district. Meanwhile a deputation of the union led by its Chairman Joginder Bhandari called upon the Managing Director CVPPL regarding the early starting of the Pakal Dul hydroelectric project who in turn reply that the work on the project could be started only after induction of two directors from state government in CVPPL (a joint venture company consisting of NHPC, JKSPDC and PTC).
