JAMMU, July 31: Superb bowling spell of six wickets by Lakhan today guided Lions Cricket Club (LCC) to a huge 102 runs win against Magnum Cricket Club (MCC) in the ongoing Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School ground, Satwari, here. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, LCC made 161 runs for nine wickets with Vinay scoring half century with 52 runs in his account coming off 32 deliveries. Vivek contributed 18-ball 23 runs. From MCC, Ali clinched three wickets, followed by Pardip and Mudasir, who shared two wickets each. In reply, MCC bowled out for just 59 runs in 15 overs. Sourav and Pardip were top scorers with 15 and 11 runs in their respective accounts. From LCC, besides Lakhan's six wickets haul, Manu also bowled well taking away three wickets. For his match winning performance of six wickets, Lakhan was named man of the match. Today's match officiated by Aman Cheema and Pankaj Khajuria as umpires while Dheeraj Jasrotia and Akshaydeep Singh were scorers. |
