YAIKS shows concern over migration package of KPs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 31: R. K. Bhat President YAIKS along with other core group members, B. K. Bhat, Sunil Koul-Vice Presidents, Manoj Handoo, General Secretary, Ajay Safaya, Sanjay Ganjoo, Deepak Dhar and Ajay Raina, Secretary and D.N.Bhat, Advisor today, expressing the main stream voice of KP's, shed their serious concern over the miserable plight of KP's for last 25 years. In a press statement, Bhat said that the so called PM's Return and Rehabilitation Package for Kashmiri Migrants that was announced long back in April, 2008 by then Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh has again exposed the intentions of political parties and their will power for the Nationalist forces of microscopic community of Kashmiri Pandits. He said that It's very unfortunate that not even 10% of the whole package has been implemented so far, for which Rs. 16.18 crore package was sanctioned. No process has been made since 2008. Only some 1700 employees were appointed out of sanctioned jobs till date. Out of these 1700 recruited employees only 800 have been provided accommodation and that too on sharing basis in different districts. He added that It's the responsibility of successive Govt.'s to provide them free accommodation as houses were heinously burnt during the turmoil in Valley in 1989-90. "The Govt. is not at all serious for the return of Kashmiri Pandits. We are being misused time and again for the National interests; there is no concrete policy for the return", he added. He further added that there is a caution and it is observed that socio-political conditions of 1989-90 seem to be resuming. The anti-social and anti-national elements are working at the behest of Pakistan and ISI in such a manner which is not desirable and allowed in a secular and democratic State. The ISIS flags, Pakistani flags are being hoisted on daily basis and have now become a daily routine by anti-national elements. As reported by Indian intelligences the infiltration is going on through Pakistani boarders, around new 300 militants have entered recently in Kashmir valley. It has created fear psychosis among minority community living in Valley. YAIKS served an ultimatum upon the Govt to redress their demands as soon as possible. |
