JAMMU, Aug 1 : Two weeks Scientific Aid course which was commenced on 20th of July 2015 in Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur concluded today in which sixteen officers of the rank of DySP to ASI as nominated by PHQ participated. The course was designed under the guidance of Director Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur Rajesh Kumar, IPS, IGP. The basic objective behind the course was to make police officers well equipped and aware about the scientific techniques and their importance in investigation, collection of evidences, DNA Finger printing, Finger prints, Handling and packing of physical evidences, Forensic ballistics, Narcotics, Explosives and detection of forged Indian currency Notes. A number of guest speakers namely Rohit Koul Retd. Scientific officer, R.S Jamwal SO FSL, Jammu, Jagdish Lal AGM Treasurer RBI, Jammu, Dr. Narinder Gupta etc. delivered lectures to the participants on the assigned topics. The deliberations were also made by faculty members namely Kamal Sharma, CPO, Rajeev Thappa, Sr.Po, Jagpaul Sharma, Inspector and Harjit Singh SI besides, a visit of participants to FSL Jammu was also organized. The valedictory moments of course were graced by Ravinder Kumar Rao DDP, Anil Gandotra Sr. PO and Jagpaul Sharma Inspector were remained as course coordinator and course secretary. |
