8/2/2015 12:02:05 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 1: Determined as they are, the people of Jammu region are prepared to face the official wrath of the ungrateful BJP government in the state, but no amount of brutal force can deter the unarmed and peaceful people of Jammu region who are fighting for the establishment of AIIMS in Jammu.
"We were clear in our minds right from the day one that the BJP was not interested in appreciating the sentiments of the people of Jammu Province as it has chosen to turn intensely and slavishly pro-Kashmir after they entered into alliance with PDP. Under the inspiration of its new Kashmiri mentors, the BJP is treating the people of Jammu like animals unworthy of any decent treatment, " speaker said.
Entire Jammu is seething with anger and the BJP will have to pay unimaginable price for their treachery and betrayal of the people of Jammu," said Chairman AIIMS CC and President JKHCBA, Jammu, Abhinav Sharma seconds before he was brutally assaulted by the police under the instructions of BJP leadership in Gandhi Nagar area, here today.
After inflicting serious injuries to AIIMS CC chairman, Abhinav Sharma, the police whisked away scores of AIIMS CC cadres who too were injured during lathi-charge and teargas shelling. Earlier, heavy police contingent did not allow massive rally of AIIMS CC to enter either Canal Road or old city areas.
When police tried to stop the AIIMS CC cadres to gheroa the official residence of deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh, the ralliests broke open the police cordon at several places and moved towards different parts of the old city raising AIIMS for Jammu and anti-BJP slogans.
They informed the already enraged general public about the barbarities perpetrated upon the peaceful supporters of AIIMS CC. They forced the police to raise anti-Pakistan and pro-India slogans outside Raghunath Temple.
