NPP torches effigies of 26 BJP MLAs

Jammu, Aug 1: Continuing with its 'Fight for Jammu' Mission around 200 Panthers Party activists assembled outside the Press Club Jammu on the second day of Jammu Bandh today, staged a massive protest demonstration at Dogra Chowk in front of the stranded commuters against the BJP's policies of duplicity, deceit and betrayal which was led by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal State President Young Panthers. The leaders exhorted the people to observe complete shutdown for the restoration of full-fledged AIIMS in the Jammu region while the angry protestors burning with extreme anger and outrage triggered. The angry protestors torched the effigies of 26 BJP MLAs denouncing them for playing the policies of subterfuge and deception. The protesters clashed with the Police when they were restrained from taking out a peace full rally in the town. Dozens of JKNPP activists including senior Youth leaders Vinod Singh and Anil Rakwal were arrested and detained in Nowabad Police Station.
