CEO Rajouri violates order issued by Education Minister of clubbing schools having thin strength

Jammu, Aug 3: Despite the clear directives by the Minister for School Education to club the schools having thin strength with the nearest schools, but the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has turned deaf ear to the directives and has not clubbed the Government Primary School Nahoti with nearest school in sheer violation of the circular, ostensibly to give benefits to his blue eyes teachers.
Sources told Early Times that Education Minister for School Naeem Akhtar had issued an order in the month of June- July this year to club all the school having thin strength 20-25 students with the nearest school within the perimeter of one kilometer but there are number of schools in district Rajouri having strength below 25 students in Rajouri district have not been clubbed till date.
"Flouting the order, the concerned officials have not followed the directives just to provide undue benefits to their blue eyed," they alleged. In tehsil Sundarbani, the Government Primary School Nahoti is having the strength of 20 students has not been clubbed by the CEO Rajouri with the nearest Government Middle School which is just 100 meter distance from the primary school and having strength of 40 students so far allegedly to favour his some favorites, sources alleged.
"In zone Lower Hathal, total 9 schools having strength of 25-27 school have been clubbed by the CEO Rajouri but some school which falls in the criteria mentioned in the circular have been felt deliberately apparently for their favorite ones," they alleged.
On being contacted to the Minister for School Education Minister Naeem Akhater, he said he would take strict action against any such officer found violating the directives. However, when this scribe sought the version of the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri AH Fani through telephonically in this regard, he did not respond clearly and tried to avoid the questions asked by the scribe.
