Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 3: The police department is all set to withdraw excessive security to ex-ministers and is said to have made an inventory in this regard. To start with, two PSOs (personal security officers) of an ex-minister, who now is an MLA, have been withdrawn, according to police sources. Sources said police department started had made an inventory of the ex-ministers who had excessive security with them. "Some had an army of PSOs with them to do their household works and not for their protection," sources said. An ex-minister, now an MLA, had four PSOs but two were withdrawn in the recent past as per order No 2272 of police headquarters. Both of them had been asked to report back to Reasi district police where they were posted, sources informed. Sources said all other ex-ministers had been told that their excessive PSOs were being withdrawn, sources said. It was very unfortunate to find that these ex-ministers were using PSOs as household servants. "Some even clean the houses of these politicians, besides doing other menial works," the sources added. Even those ex-ministers, who had lost elections, had an army of PSOs with them. Their excessive security was also being withdrawn, sources informed.
