JAMMU, Aug 4: Members and Office bearers of Muzaffar Hussain Baig Friends Club today hailed the statement of its Patorn Muzaffar Hussain Baig, MP, for endorsing the demand of the AIIMS at Jammu, in a recent interview given to a popular local magazine Published from Kashmir last month. The statement quoting patron and PDP MP reminded that Baig has stressed that owing to weather, geography and topography of both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir, the demand for AIIMS in respective regions is well justified. Baig had added that during the winter season when the road connectivity remains suspended due to snow, land-slides and vagaries of nature both regions remain inaccessible and it will not be easy for the patients to avail of the medical facilities as and when required under the hostile weather conditions. He emphasised that the Centre should provide AIIMS to both Jammu and Kashmir keeping in mind the reasons as stated since this issue is more of humane in nature and not a political one more over it will act as a balm on the hurt feelings of the people of Jammu segment.
